Principal's Weekly Message

Week of May 14-18th

Track 1 will be taking their EOGs on Tuesday-Thursday.

Thank you to all the parents who helped make our staff feel extra special during staff appreciation week.  This week we will celebrate with track 3 teachers and TAs.  On Monday, plan to bring your teacher and TA a flower, on Tuesday; send your favorite staff member a card/note.  These are suggested items.  Lists for the remainder of the week will come home in Tuesday folders or you can visit the PTA website for the information.

Parents, we need your help enforcing the dress code as the weather gets warmer!  Please reread our dress code policy, which mirrors our school district’s policy.  Parents will be contacted if a student is violating the policy (i.e. no spaghetti straps, halter-tops, or see through tops are permitted, beach flip flops are not permitted, etc.). Thank you for your assistance!

Playing Recorder Strings (4th Grade)

Fourth Graders are in the midst of earning strings for their recorder unit. In order for a child to earn a level 3 in the unit they must earn 3 strings. This is only 3 notes and 3 songs! Students may come any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday 8:45-9:10 a.m. If they are in early care or carpool they may come as early as 8:30 a.m. to play to avoid waiting in line. We do not hear individuals play during the music class because it makes the children nervous to play in front of their peers and it takes away from instructional time since we only see them once a week in music special. A schedule is posted on Mrs. Dickens' music door and website regarding dates for earning and playing their strings, please see the schedule for dates and deadlines.
